You don’t need permission to feel better! Pain can’t wait! Direct Access laws in Georgia allow you to receive treatment from a licensed physical therapist without seeing a physician first. If continued care is needed beyond 21 days or 8 visits (whichever comes first), you’ll need a written referral and an in-person visit with your physician before continuing treatment. If you do not have a physician, your therapist can recommend one based on your treatment needs. Most insurances cover physical therapy without a physician’s prescription. We will contact your insurance company to verify your benefits and ensure no referral is needed prior to starting your treatment.
